The DiSTARS communication event in Greece was organized by Ellinogermaniki Agogi (EA) at the
“Aristotelio” Science Culture Educational Center at the city of Volos. The aim of this activity was to
kick off the project’s implementation activities in the country.
This event engaged people from the educational, science outreach and scientific communities of Greece who were invited to participate and engage with the project’s community. In the framework of this event, educational resources created and the storytelling platform were utilized to build a sample short digital story related to the project’s theme: Space Exploration.
The event was centred on creative STEM education and seminars, workshops and presentation of suggested student activities and its integration of the school curricula were explored. The 24 participating teachers were introduced to the DiSTARS content and methodology, and to the assessment tools created by University of Bayreuth.
Participants were invited to provide their input in all presented tools and resources and to
participate in the first phase of the project where all the tools and resources will be localized and
validated.
